Discount Flooring

You can get some truly amazing deals for discount flooring if you take your time and do your homework. The internet is a goldmine for this type of stuff because you will usually be able to find discount upwards of 50% or more. You should start by doing generic searches but from there start searching for manufacturer’s and distributors of whatever flooring you want.

If you’re looking for some kind of wood discount flooring like hardwood or laminate, you’re sure to find tons of deals online. The best thing to do is contact multiple companies and ask for samples. One company’s idea of light wood will vary from another’s regardless of what it looks like online too. You should also do multiple searches for these discount flooring company names too. A lot of times you can save yourself a headache if multiple people have complaints about them and posted stories online.

When it comes time to make a decision on which discount flooring to purchase, you do need to consider many factors. And you need to also remember that it really depends on how it’s going to be installed. Obviously if you do it yourself, you’re going to save big time as approximately 60% of the cost of having hardwood or laminate floors installed is the labor. If you’re tossed up between discount flooring like hardwood and laminate, I would go with laminate (pergo and whatnot). It is cheaper and easier to install and looks darn good.

Don’t forget to include trim moldings in estimating costs either. Any flooring is going to need them. If you want really cheap you can go with lumber liquidators but I would only recommend this if you’re doing it yourself. You can get some decent stuff from them but it will most likely have much more of a rustic appearance than a truely polished look. Your call of course. There is discount flooring and then there’s mega discount flooring. If this is your first home and money is tight then it’s a decent option.

When push comes to shove though, I would go with laminate myself. Upkeep is very easy and the colors and grades can vary so much. Just take your time and you’ll probably find some that works perfect. There are many guides online that will teach you how to install it yourself or you can always buy one of those instruction books too. It’s a cheaper alternative to real hardwood and looks amazing. Discount flooring at it’s best in my opinion. Best of luck in finding a great deal and may your flooring project be a great success!
